The argument for one temperature
ghd's whole position is that the dial is what damages hair. When a curl drops, the instinct is to turn the heat up; the actual causes are almost always a section that was too thick, hair that was not fully dry, or a curl released before it cooled. None of those is fixed by heat, and a tool with no dial cannot be escalated.
365°F is a defensible place to fix it — below the CHI presets at 392 and 395°F, and far below the 455°F ceilings the professional market advertises. Clipped, and why that matters
This is the clipped member of the ghd Curve family; the Curve Thin is clipless. The clamp holds the end of the section for you, which makes it a one-handed tool and lowers the burn risk while you learn — the reason it appears on curling irons for beginners.

The sleep mode is the underrated feature
A 20-minute automatic sleep is unusual restraint in a category that mostly advertises maximum temperature. It addresses the actual domestic hazard, which is not the tool being too hot but the tool being left on — a burn and fire question rather than an energy one, as how to store hair tools covers.

Weight is the one we would most like filled. A curling iron is held at head height for a full session, and ghd publishes nothing here where T3 publishes a separate figure for each of its three barrel sizes.

Read the last column before you pack. The Curve Thin publishes universal voltage and the other two do not, which means the family cannot be treated as interchangeable for travel — a mistake that is easy to make and expensive to discover in a hotel room. On shape: the Classic is the everyday 1 inch curl, the Thin is for tight curls and short hair, and the Wave makes a uniform S-bend rather than a curl at all. All three carry a two-year warranty.
Who should buy it
Someone who wants a classic 1 inch clipped curl, does not want to think about temperature, and styles at home rather than abroad. It is a good first premium curling iron for exactly that reason.
